At the International School of Figure Skating in Riga come with different goals: one is enough to work out a confident slip, others dream of mastering a few simple elements to show off to friends on the rink, the third are determined to succeed in the sporting field. Depending on the goals, as well as the age and training of the figure skater, a training program is being developed.
Amateur figure skating for children and adults is:
Absence of strict age limits - you can come to the rink at 10, 20, 30, 40 years and later;
Milder requirements for health, physical data and general training;
Free schedule for visiting the figure skating section in Riga and Ozolnieki;
The opportunity to choose the form of training (classes in the group, individual lessons) and adjust the program in accordance with their wishes and interests.

In the single skating among the girls took part 34 figure skaters. The victory was won by the Russian figure skater - Polina Tsurskaya 187.85 points. The second place with a backlog of 10 points is Ekaterina Mitrofanova. The third and fourth place was left for the Japanese figure skaters: Rin Nitaya and Kaori Sakamoto. Fifth place, figure skater from Jelgava, Latvia, Diana Nikitina 146.65 points.

It is not difficult to choose the right figure skating club for children, to attend your child's classes. Sports, the largest club in Latvia or maybe not great, but with an individual approach to your baby. At each rink, the ice arena, there is a sports club of figure skating, and even several clubs.
Major clubs of figure skating are, first of all, clubs that teach figure skating for 10 years or more. Such clubs were founded closer to 2000, at the time when there was practically no figure skating, there were fewer clubs and only true patriots of Latvian figure skating for children and adults made attempts to revive figure skating in Latvia.

Yevgenia Medvedeva - winner of the finals Grand Prix and world champion among juniors in figure skating 2015. Zhenya is preparing for the first for her, the adult season. A short program of Eugenia was put by Alexander Zhulin, but the only one is to be done. A new random program for Zhenya Medvedeva was staged by Ilya Averbukh, the world and European champion in figure skating. 2002 won 2nd place at the Olympic Games.
Ilya Averbukh notes that, Eugene, a hard-working girl, talented and interesting to work with. Zhenya has great potential and she should show herself at the next competitions. Zhenya is quite capable to be selected in the Russian National Team for the European Championships.
